As a Customer Service Representative you welcome our clients in store and on the phone, label client’s items to ensure they are sent to receive the proper garment care, and make sure that each client leaves our store feeling great about the service they’ve received.

Your day is a blend of servicing existing home/office delivery clients and looking for opportunities to speak with other residents or businesses along your existing route. It’s an independent environment perfect for a self-motivated go getter and provides you the opportunity to increase your pay everyday.

The ability to provide exceptional customer service, use company sales and marketing techniques to grow the route, lift up to 20lbs of clothing repeatedly through the day, and a desire to grow personally and professionally along with our company is a must!

If sitting behind a desk all day staring at a computer isn’t for you and you prefer a work environment that keeps you active, Pier Cleaners is looking for you!

Our Production Team works within a fast paced environment cleaning, sorting, pressing, inspecting, and assembling garments. If you have the ability to multi-task, a willingness to learn, and possess a high attention to detail this could be the perfect position for you!

Requirements:

• Identify spots and stains on various garments to ensure garment quality.
• Learn the basic operations of pressing station(s) and the process by which items are commonly pressed at that station.
• Accurately but efficiently iron and press articles by hand or by machine.
• Ensure that pressing equipment is working properly and is well maintained.
• Continuous standing movement of arms and feet throughout entirety of shift.
• Provide a quality finished product according to company standards.
• Inspect each garment following the inspection checklist.
• Return garments that do not reach company standards to proper area.
• Ensure special instructions have been followed when applicable.
• Confirm all pieces required for that day have been completed prior to end of day.

Job description

A Laundry Attendant’s main priorities are either cleaning and returning laundry to customers maintaining laundry facilities. General responsibilities of a person in this position may include:

Sorting Laundry

In order to prevent dyes from transferring from one item to another, a Laundry Attendant must first sort the laundry by colors. Then, the items must be separated based on material and fabric. Finally, Laundry Attendants must be aware of any special washing instructions.

Operate and Maintain Machines

Loading and unloading laundry into and out of washing machines and driers . Next, they must load the proper amount and type of detergent, soap, bleach, fabric softener or other solution. These individuals must be able to clean the machines and filters, and troubleshoot errors.

Laundry Attendants must provide customer service to individuals using the machines, as well as fix issues, or let management know about any problems or maintenance concerns.

Keep Track of Laundry
Must keep track of laundry to make sure the right items are returned to their original owners.
